Private Instruction
I offer private lessons for percussion, marimba, and piano for all ages and levels, and also educational clinics in classrooms. I have taught or coached percussion ensembles of the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies, and local high schools in the Twin Cities. I am currently an adjunct percussion instructor at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, and a member of the MMTA and MMTF.
Please contact me for questions or to schedule a lesson, coaching, master class, or clinic. Lessons are available in Japanese or English.
Mini Music Break --NEW!
As of this summer, I have started teaching 15-minute virtual lessons to adults 18 and older! This works great for people that want:
-a reason to finally dust off their piano
-a productive lunch break while they work from home
-an initiative just to roll out of bed earlier!
Students can choose piano, beginning voice, and percussion.
-Learn to sing a song, match pitch, harmonize
-Establish a sense of rhythm
-Relearn that one piece they really liked playing
-Learn to improvise or comp
-Accountability to create a musical goal and work toward achievement
Requirement for piano students- a piano keyboard of at least 61 keys.
